Go On An Adventure With Dad

Proverbs 16:3

When a man's ways please the Lord, he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him.

Enemies; you know all about them. It seems that, at times, there are people who have made it their sole purpose in life to get under your skin! Amazing, isn't it, how entering into a confrontation with an enemy will never result in resolution? It only leads to more frustration. Resolution is never their goal. Your time has been wasted. The adventure of life has carried on around you for everyone else, while your time has been taken up engaged in futile struggle.

So, here's what you should do instead; go on an adventure with Dad, and leave the struggles behind. He'll take care of the struggles that you have wasted your time being engaged in. All you have to do is focus on pleasing Him.

God is most pleased when He sees us embracing the life that we have been given, maximising the talents that he has bestowed upon us. In Matthew 25 the good servants, who use their talents, hear these words from their master; ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’

Do you feel like your talent is little? Use it! The adventure in God is that He will reward you with more. You will find yourself being brought into arenas that you never imagined possible. Go on; go on an adventure with Dad!

Am I engaged in struggles and distractions that are not part of my adventure in Jesus? Am I using my talents to the full?

Help me Lord to trust you with all the difficulties that I encounter. Reveal my talents to me and help me engage them fully for your glory. I'm looking forward, Lord Jesus, to the adventure that lies before me in you.
